Noted in the Handbook for travellers… (1869) as "an early font". Drawing of a font in the Harvey Pridham Drawings of English Fonts (MS 56). [Folder Number, Item Description]. University of Colorado at Boulder Libraries. Special Collections Dept., done by Harvey Pridham in September 1887 accompanied by the following description: "Circular bowl, bell, and large roll, old work: circular stem, modern: & 2 stepped plinths, both square, modern. Circular bowl, raked sides, flat plan, with zinc lining ornamentally turned over, 10 1/2 deep, 3 3/4 margin; Flat modern cover. Position, S. side Nave walk, a little West of S. door."
