Font Notes:
No mention of a font in Stabb (1908- ), who mentions a restored holy-water stoup near the south door but does not mention its date (perhaps 15th-century?). Pevsner (1952) notes: "Font. Late C18, white marble." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SX9455887707] notes: "Parish church. Late C14 and late C15, restoration of 1841-2 including rebuilding of south porch, further restoration of 1856 [...] The octagonal font has deeply-cut tracery on the bowl and a stem with tracery decoration" but gives it no date. [NB: we have no information on the earlier font of this church]
