The St. Stephen's Project [http://www.stephenproject.org.uk/brochure/22_briefhistory.htm] [accessed 28 January 2009] reports a neo-Gothic baptismal font of ca. 1864, the time of the Victorian renovation [NB: a church is reported in place here by 1086, but it was probably older, as the excavation of the crypt has shown; we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church]
