Pevsner (1952) informs that the old 13th-century church was in ruins by the 18th century, and underwent a major renovation in the late1830s
The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SX9682880297] notes: "Originally a C13 chapel which fell into ruin and became a dissenting chapel in the C17. It was restored and brought back into use in 1839. Charles Fowler was the architect at that time. North aisle added in 1864" bur mentions no font in it. [NB: we have no information on the original font of that church]
