There is an entry for Bladon [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SP4414/bladon/] [accessed 27 November 2017], but it mentions neither priest nor church in it. The Victoria County History (Oxford, 12, 1990) notes: "The medieval church of St. Martin [...was] demolished in 1802 [...] The medieval font, possibly 12th-century, seems to have been lost after 1813." [NB: the VCH entry is footnoted "Bodl. MS. Don. d 142, f. 25", a reference to evidence in the Bodleian Library of a drawing of this font of that date; perhaps Buckler's]
