Font Notes:
Noted and illustrated in the Wiltshire Communty History [http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/getchurch.php?id=936] [accessed 25 December 2008]: "The font is believed to be 15th century". The font appears to have been altered, the basin too shallow for the period claimed; is the basin a replacement, or has the original been cut down to half of its height? The inscription painted around it is also modern. The octagonal-to-square pedestal has trefoiled panels on the sides, with some sort of motif [tired foliage?] in each, and it is raised on a lower base that is square and plain. Round wooden cover; appears modern.
