The Victoria County History (Wiltshire, vol. 12, 1983) notes: "Part of a square 12th-century font is built into the porch. The south porch has a length of stone built into the wall; it is rectangular and does resemble the side of a table-top Norman font; it is decorated with two patterns on the visible side, one on the rim above, another on the sides. [NB: we have no confirmation on whether or not this is the stone referred to in the VCH above]
