Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002) as the old font from St. James' church, the old church of Charfield, later moved to the new 19th-century church of St. John: "Font. C15, from St James. Octagonal; the bowl with quatrefoils with alternating roses and shields, the tall chamfer and short stem with trefoil-headed panels." [NB: this information appears to be contradictory with the claim that the font at St. John's is originally from Churchend St. James' [cf. BSI entry for Churchend] -- the font discussed is, however, the same object]. [NB: old St. James', Charfield, is believed to have been built on an earlier Norman church, but we have no information on the font of that church]
