Parker (1847) notes the Chapel of the College of Vicars Choral in Goodramgate, "a small plain chapel of late Decorated character […] The altar screen is made up of patch-work of old materials, chiefly taken from a Perpendicular font-cover. The font is small, plain, octagonal. This chapel is now used for christenings and churchings only." [NB: it is unlikely that a smal chapel like this would have had a sophisticated font cover that lent itself to become material for a screen; was it brought from some other loftier church?]
