Thre are four owners listed for Stillingfleet [variant spellings] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SE5940/stillingfleet/] [accessed 22 October 2019] none of which reports cleric or church in it. There is no mention of any font in Glynne's 28 March 1825 visit to this church, prior to the 1877 restoration. The Victoria County History reports only the new font (York East Riding, vol. 3, 1976): "The existing fabric reveals that there was a church at Stillingfleet in the Norman period. It was first mentioned in 1244, when it was served by a vicar. [...] There was, however, also a sinecure rector, who in 1250, with archiepiscopal sanction, leased the rectory to a clerk. [...] The font was given by Elizabeth Dure in 1832". The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE5932741005] notes: "Church. c.1145 nave, south porch and chancel, C13 north aisle and chapel of Saint Anne and lower stage to west tower, C14 additions and alterations including Moreby Chapel dedicated to Saint Mary (founded 1336), C15 and C16 additions to tower and widening and heightening of north aisle and insertion of windows. Later additions and alterations include restoration and rebuilding of east end c.1875-84"; no font mentioned in this entry. [NB: the fabric of this building goes back to the 12th century, but we have no information on the earlier font]
