There is an entry for Littleton [-n-Severn] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/ST5989/littleton-on-severn/] [accessed 29 May 2019]
Verey & Brooks (1999-2002) write: "Norman font; bowl ornamented with large crude chevron, on an octagonal pillar with spurs at the corners." Baptismal font consisting of a round tub-shaped basin with -now- tapering sides decorated with very large chevron bands, raised on a small pedestal base and a square lower base. The large basin appears to have been re-cut from the original shape, and the base is an ill-suited later addition. The wooden cover is round and flat, with metal decoration and ring handle; appears modern.
