Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ), which points out its similarity with the font at nearby Villahernando. Baptismal font consisting of a very large, roughly hemispheric basin decorated with ribbed pattern outside and in; as with some of these Castillian fonts, the inner pattern is concave; the ribs are quite broad, both in and out; the outer surface has an added arcade of unsupported arches all around; two of the original metal staples of the old cover remain in place at the upper rim; the basin is raised on a squat circular base decorated with a roll moulding at the top, now damaged. The whole is raised on a round plinth. The Enciclopedia… (ibid.) notes that the linked-circles interlace pattern appears on the fonts at Boada de Villadiego, Villahizán de Treviño, La Piedra, Tagarrosa, Ordejón de Abajo and Sandoval de la Reina. Valle Barreda (2009) mentions similarities between the fonts of Boada de Villadiego, Quintanarraya and Tablada del Rudrón.
