The basin has four sides adorned with shield charged with a Latin cross, alternating with four other sides adorned with a pointed quatrefoil; on the underbowl chamfer, below a moulding, is a band of square flower motif [NB: the same source notes that the church of St. Mark, also in Dursley, has a 1888 font by Frank Smith; the church itself is 19th-century -- not listed separately in this index on account of its late date]
