Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Fine round stone font of 1937 by Norman Jewson, carved by William Smmonds; the wooden cover was made by Owen Scrubey (one of Waal's craftsmen)" [NB: Peter van der Waals, born in 1870, trained as a cabinet-maker in Holland but moved to London ca. 1900 and spent much of his life working in the Cotswolds. He is classed with the Arts&Crafts Movement]. Listed here as an interest and balanced example of neo-Romanesque work. [NB: no record found of an earlier church here].
