Illustrated in Objectifs patrimoines (2008): round basin on plain round pedestal base; if it dates from the abbey church, probably 12th-13th century. There is an entry for a stoup in this church in Palissy [ref.: IM18000424]: "Bénitier […] granite […] H = 63 ; d = 72 […] Date (sur le bord de la cuve: 1729" but is noted that it was brought to this church only in 1968: "Oeuvre placée dans l'église de Châteaumeillant en 1968". [NB: no mention made of the font itself].
