Kurmann (2007) describes and illustrates the baptismal font at the cathedral of Fribourg, of which, he informs, the font at Saint-Benoît de Bienne is a replica made in 1500 [cf. BSI entry for Fribourg No. 1] [NB: it is not clear from Kurmann's text whether the font was made by the same artisans or not but the Biel font, though being of almost an identical design to the one at Fribourg, lacks all the scenes that the latter has on the basin sides; the rest of the tracery is indeed similar].
