An object claimed in ContentDM Collection [http://contentdom.kenyon.edu/cdm4/] to be the baptismal font of the Real Monasterio de Armenteira. It appears to be a flat rectangular (?) basin with the name of the monastery carved on the side ["ARMENTERA"], and raised on two columns with foliated capitals. It is claimed to be from the original Cistercian monastery of ca. 1160. Another source, Ramón Escobar Hervás' Maravillas Ocultas de España [http://maravillasdeespana.blogspot.ca/2017/09/monasterios-de-pontevedrasta-m-de.html] [accessed 4 May 2018], notes and illustrates three objects in this church: a baptismal font and two holy-water stoups, the stoups being composite objects of materials from the original disappeared cloister of the 12th-century monastery. This was confirmed by the reply sent to the monastery nuns (Cistercian) 20 August 2008 -- reply received from Ha. Atentamente. Hª Carmen".
