The Victoria County History (Wiltshire, vol. 7, 1953) notes: "The tower dates from about the middle of the 15th century [...] The rest of the church is of ashlar and was built in 1832 to replace an earlier one [...] demolished, except for the tower, in the previous year. The pulpit, font, gallery, and fittings are contemporary." Noted and illustrated in the Wiltshire Community History [http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/getchurch.php?id=984] [accessed 11 August 2008], and in John Wilkes [www.allthecotswolds.com] [accessed 11 August 2008]. Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with plain sides [have they been re-tooled?] except for a thin moulding at the lower edge, and another such on the underbowl; raised on a cylindrical pedestal base with mouldings at both ends, and a small square lower base. Wooden cover, octagonal and moulded aroud the rim, with an acorn finial. The font may be dated to the mid-15th century re-building of this church.
