Noted in Allen (1839?): ''the old church being destroyed by the fire of London in 1666, the present edifice was erected in 1684 […] The font is a plain octangular basin of white marble, on a pillar of the same form and material.'' [NB: this church was demolished in 1875, and it is not clear where the Wren font ended up]
