The 'antiquarian news' section of The Antiquary (issue of July 1882: 33) informs: ''the ancient and parish church […] has been re-opened after restoration. A communion cup of the church bears the date of 1574. The font is evidently a great deal older. A holy water stoup has been preserved.''
