The 'antiquarian news' section of The Antiquary (issue No. 31, vol. 6, July 1882: 33) informs: ''the ancient and parish church […] has been re-opened after restoration. A communion cup of the church bears the date of 1574. The font is evidently a great deal older. A holy water stoup has been preserved.'' A church interior plan dating to 1882 [http://www.churchplansonline.org/show_full_image.asp?resource_id=08590.tif] [accessed 13 July 2008] shows the font in the northwest corner of the nave.
