There is an entry for this [Long] Marston [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SP1548/long-marston/] [accessed 23 September 2020] but it mentions neither priest nor church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SP1526948119] notes: "Church. C14 nave and chancel, with C16 porch and restored C16 bell turret. [...] circular font on traceried base". Composite baptismal font consisting of a plain cylindrical basin raised on a later octagonal pedestal base; there appears to have been an attempt at matching the two by giving the round underbowl an octagonal chamfering all around [it is possible that the original was a tub-shaped font that was cut to size]; the stem has a trefoiled arch or window on each panel. Wooden cover consisting of a plain round base on which is a Jacobean-style finial of a Latin cross on a four scroll rib base.
