Lewis (1876) reports that the church re-opened in 1860 after extensive renovations and describes the restored font: "The font is the original one that had been discarded for a pewter basin; it is samll, octagonal, and it is raised on steps". Lewis (ibid.) mentions an old "benitier" that existed before the renovation by the side of the entrance, on the outside, but informs that it was lost during the works. Pevsner (1958) does not mention the font or the stoup. [NB: church building is chiefly 14th-, 15th-century, but traces of Norman fabric were found during the renovation]
