There is a 1790 ink-wash-on-paper drawing of this font by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm (1733-1794) in the British Library Collections [Shelfmark: Additional MS 15547 - Item number: f.46]. Described in Pevsner (1958): "Norman, of tub shape, with a zigzag band at the top." Tub-shaped baptismal font; a row of continuous chevron around the upper basin side; mouldings at the bottom; square lower base and octagonal plinth. The tall-ish wooden font consists of a round base with a running inscription all around, and an octagonal pyramd with slightly concave arrises with occasional crockets adorning them; dove finial; guilded and painted.
