The second of three vessels located in the interior of St. Oswald's [though Pevsner mentions none of them]. This appears to be the remains of an octagonal basin that is missing its bottom; by its general shape it could be the basin of a former font, and some of the sides show clear traces of a [blank?] arcade carved on them.
