Drawing of a font in the Harvey Pridham Drawings of English Fonts (MS 56). [Folder Number, Item Description]. University of Colorado at Boulder Libraries. Special Collections Dept., done by Harvey Pridham in September 1887 accompanied by the following description: "Position, on right (E) side, entering by S. Porch. Bowl circular, irregular, outside: stem or shaft is peculiar - see section. Between the shaft proper, and the plinth, is a square foot of very slight projection ; 12 " square: this seems to be coëval with the bowl & shaft. The lowest portion, the chamfered plinth, looks like a Perpendicular addition, - it is not of this century. In shaft, a little way below bowl, is a mortar joint, as shown. Inside of bowl circular, no lead, margin 2 1/2, depth 7 1/2". flat bottom." Wade & Wade (1929) report an "ancient tub font" in this church. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin, rather small, raised on a cylindrical pedestal base, a quadrangular lower base and a plinth of the same shape. The font appears completely plain. The wooden cover is flat and round. Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958).
