There is entry for Upton [Noble] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/ST7139/upton-noble/] [accessed 12 April 2018], but it does not mention cleric or church in it. Wade & Wade (1929) report: "The font is early". The entry for this parish in the Victoria County History (Somerset, vol. 7, 1999) notes: "Te church probably dates from the late 12th century [...] The font is of the 13th century." Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958). The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: ST7129339451] reports a 13th-century font here.
