Wade & Wade (1929) report: "The most noteworthy features of its small Perp[endicular] church is a Norm[an] S[outh] door, and an ancient font (likewise presumably Norm[an]) of curious shape." The Listed Buildings of the Taunton Deane Borough Council [http://www.tauntondeane.gov.uk/tdbcsites/her/her_lb/lbdets.asp?id=001870] [accessed 30 March 2008] reports a "circular font in the porch" on 25 February 1955. This relegation of the font to the porch is explained in Phil Draper (2008) [http://www.wishful-thinking.org.uk/genuki/SOM/OrchardPortman/StMichael.html] [accessed 30 March 2008] who notes that "the north porch has been turned into a baptistry". Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958).
