There is an entry fro Leamington [Spa] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SP3165/leamington-spa/] [accessed 29 January 2015]; it mentions a priest, but not a church in it, though there probably was one there. The Victoria County History (Warwick, vol. 6, 1951) notes: "The parish church of Leamington was originally a chapel of Leek Wootton [...] The old parish church of All Saints was a small building, consisting of chancel and nave, apparently of the 13th century, with a west tower added in the 14th century"; there is no mention of a font in the VCH entry. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font of this church]. There is a modern font in the Victorian church of St. Mark, in this town. A B&W photograph dated from the 1930s (?) showing the stone font and its towering wooden cover appears in the Libraries Heritage and Trading Standards, Warwickshre County Council [Ref.: [PH(N), 600/319/1, img: 5007 (3/4578)'] [www.search.windowsonwarwickshire.org.uk/engine/resource/default.asp?theme=1109&originator=%2Fengine%2Ftheme%2Fdefault.asp&page=&records=&direction=&pointer=7788&text=1&resource=4578] [accessed 27 March 2008]
