There is an entry for Langridge [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/ST7469/langridge/] [accessed 11 Fabruary 2020] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Wade & Wade (1929) report and Early English font in this church. Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958). The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: ST7401169538] notes: "Anglican Parish Church. C12, altered C13 and C14; restored and apse added 1869-72 [...] Font: ashlar, octagonal bowl on a stem" [NB: the description may be from Pevsner (1958)]. The font consists of a tapering quadrangular basin with such wide chamfers at the angles as to be practically octagonal; moulded at the lower end and around the underbowl; the stem of the base has the same chamfers as the basin; on an octagonal lower base. Flat font cover that matches the shape of the basin; ring handle; appears modern.
