Noted in Kelly's Directory of 1883: "old Norman font". Noted in Wade & Wade (1929) as a Norman font. Described in the Bleadon Church Guide [http://www.bleadon.org.uk/html/bleadonchurch.html] [accessed 2 March 2008]: "The Font is said to be a Norman tub font. The pedestal and steps on which the bowl is supported are later". The wooden cover is round and flat, with metal ring handle; modern. There is no mention of this font in Pevsner (1958).
