Noted in Wade & Wade: "At the W. end is a handsomely-carved font, and the remains of another font from Spargrove Church (now destroyed) are under the tower". Described in Pevsner (1958): "Octagonal, Perpendicular], with shafts to the angles of the stem and bowl decorated with panels of foliage and shields -- much restored. A second font from Spargrove, also octagonal, also Perp[endicular], but simply with quatrefoil decoration." [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to at least the 13th century but we have no information of any earlier fonts in this church]
