Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Font. Probably of c. 1700; octagonal bowl on a nicely proportioned stem." The basin is octagonal, with a large flat moulding at the upper side, the rest of the bowl and upper underbowl curved; the lower volume of the underbowl is decorated with a graded moulding; there is another moulding as centre ring; the stem of the base is octagonal and plain; the lower base consists of two plain octagonal volumes; quadrangular plinth. Octagonal wooden cover with know handle/finial; 17th-19th century? [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to the Early English period, but we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church].
