There is an entry for Coventry [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SP3379/coventry/] [accessed 26 February 2015], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Noted and illustrated by 'kevt2747' in Flickr [www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=456863617&size=o] [accessed 9 December 2007], as a font made up from a "boulder which originated from Bethlehem’s hillside, [...] a gift from the Jordanian Government". The font actually has retained the shape of the boulder, raised on a metal pivot, with a hollowed out well for the holy water.
