Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM68003250]: "Fonts baptismaux [grès - octogonal] provenant du cimetière de Gildwiller ; les 4 têtes sculptées représentent peut-être les fleuves du paradis, la représentation de l'hybride fabuleux tirant la langue est _apotropaïque [...] figures (hybride fabuleux) ; représentation végétale (feuille, vigne) ; figure (tête : homme, barbe, corne) [...] Base remplacée [...] 11e siècle, 12e siècle (?)"; photo captions in Mémoire: "détail d'un arbre à fleurs; détail d'un arbre; détail d'une vigne; détail d'un arbre; détail d'un bouquet; détail d'un animal fantastique; détail d'un arbre sculpté; détail d'une tête sculptée". The base is reported as a modern (?) replacement; the upper rim of the basin has damage at opposite ends at the spots where former staples of an old cover broke the stone. The present baptismal font of the Eglise paroissiale de l'Epiphanie-de-Notre-Seigneur is 18th-century [listed in Palissy [ref.: IM68011806]: "fonts baptismaux [grès] [...] Le pied est galbé en élévation, circulaire. La partie inférieure de la cuve ronde est ornée de godrons. Le couvercle est en bois, sa partie supérieure reprenant le thème des godrons. [...] La partie en pierre est très vraisemblablement du 18e siècle. Le couvercle semble avoir été refait, notamment le globe et la croix sommitale."]
