There is an entry for this Cossington [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SK6013/cossington/] [accessed 30 July 2015], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. A font here is noted and illustrated in Upcott (1818). The English Heritage entry for this church [Listing NGR: SK6036413664] (1966) reports: "Round font, possibly C13/C14, with C17 restored cover." Noted Christopher Jones' Leicestershire Churches [www.leicestershirechurches.co.uk/cossington-church-all-saints/] [accessed 30 July 2015] notes: "The font dates from the 13th century and is located on what is one of the original stone piers most of which were removed in the 12th century when the north arcade was raised."
