The website of the parish [http://www.santamariaindomnica.it/note%20storiche.htm] [accessed 12 July 2007] informs: "Negli anni ’90 viene rifatto l’altare maggiore, dove è anche collocato il fonte battesimale, e si spostano lateralmente gli ingressi alla cripta" [NB: the basilica became a parish church in the 1930s, but we have no information on the date of the font other than its installation by the main altar, as indicated in the quote above]
