Large octagonal baptismal font, slightly wider at the top, the sides totally plain; the basin is raised on an octagonal plinth, and located in a gap in the side of the nave; the basin has been damaged and repaired, and several of the sides of the upper rim, which may be the result of the font having been used as a trough or other farm uses when it was damaged and abandoned between 1433 and 1597 [cf. http://www.comune.vicopisano.pi.it/turismo/territorio/frazioni/caprona/santa%20giulia.htm [accessed 8 July 2007].
