There is an entry for this Broadwell [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SP2027/broadwell/] [accessed 13 December 2018]; it mentions a priest in it, bout not a church, though there must have been one there. The entry for this parish in the Victoria County History (Gloucester, vol. 6, 1965): "There was a priest in Broadwell in 1086 [...] Apart from one of three pieces of stone standing in the porch, carved with what appears to be Saxon decoration, (fn. 287) the oldest part of the fabric is Norman. [...] The font is of the early 15th century." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SP2004927701] notes: "Anglican parish church. C12, C13, C17, C20, restoration 1860. [...] early C15 octagonal stone font with quatrefoil decoration adjacent to south door." Described in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Font. Octagonal, with quatrefoils; early C15." Baptismal font of the Perpendicular period: octagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with floral motifs inscribed in quatrefoil-in-a-circle panels, with the upper and lower basin rims moulded; plain chamfered underbowl, thin moulding at the top of the stem, the latter plain and octagonal, the same as the lower base; on a narrow polygonal plinth with kneeling stone. The inner well of the basin is lead-lined.
