There is an entry for Frampton [Coterell] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/ST6681/frampton-cotterell/] [accessed 12 February 2019]; it reports a church in it. Verey & Brooks (1999-2002) note: "Font. Norman octagonal bowl with scalloped stem, restored." Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with plain vertical sides, the lower edge trimmed with three trumpet scallops on each side projecting across the underbowl; round stem with roll mouldings at either end; moulded lower base, also round. Octagonal plinth. Round and flat wooden cover; 19th-century?. The font, if Norman, as claimed above, has been heavily restored; otherwise it would be 19th-century, from the latest re-building of this church in the mid-19th century.
