Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Font. Late C17. Rectangular bowl with scalloped or gadrooned sides, on an octagonal chalice-shaped stem." The base is moulded. The cover, like the basin itself, is quadrangular with chamfered angles, heavy, of oak, with metal ornamentation and ring handle. [NB: the baptismal font in Winterbourne Down All Saints', like the church itself, is G.E. Street, mid-19th century and therefore not listed separately in this Index]
