Font Notes:
Baptismal font typical of the 15th century in the Perpendicular style, but noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002) as "perhaps of 1821", the date of the church itself; octagonal basin with deeply-cut panels enclosing a rosette inscribed in a quatrefoil on each side; graded underbowl chamfer; the inner well of the basin is lead-lined; tall trefoil-headed windows/arches on the stem sides; narrow moulded octagonal lower base. There is some damage to the upper rim of the basin but the font appears otherwise sound. [NB: another object, of much later date and resembling a planter is also in this church, perhaps used at some time as a font?]
