There is an entry for this Eaton [variant spellling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TG2006/eaton/] [accessed 12 September 2015]; ir mentions a church and 0.11 hides of church land in it. Pevsner & Wilson (1997) note: "Font. Over-restored and brought here from Sandringham in 1896." The Sandringham font appears medieval, despite the heavy restoration. [cf. Index entry for Sandringham for a very interesting early font there]
