Font Notes:
Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Font. Of 1860, Perp[endicular] style, with octagonal with quatrefoils." Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin the sides of which are decorated with deeply-cut quatrefoil panels; graded mouldings form the underbowl chamfer; plain stem, octagonal and thin; octagonal lower base, moulded; attached kneeling stone. The basin me be a re-tooled Perpendicular original (?), but the stem and lower base are certainly 19th-century. Wooden cover, octagonal at the base and round atop (?); ungainly, probably Victorian. [NB: the fabric of the church is chiefly Perpendicular; if the present font is totally 19th-century, we have no information on the original font of this church]
