The Church of St. Andrew is noted in Armstrong (1781) and in Blomefield (1805-1810) after him, as one of three parishes in Rockland [aka Rockland Toft]: "This parish is sometimes called Rockland Minor, or the Lesser Rockland, in opposition to St. Andrew's parish, which is called Rockland Major, or the Greater Rockland. This church hath a square tower and three bells; the nave, south porch, and chancel, are thatched: there is no inscription in it, save one on a modern stone, for a Mr. Salter." There is no mention of a font in either of these two authors. A font in this church is noted in Pevsner & Wilson (1999): "A square Norman bowl, damaged". Simon Knott, who visited the church in January 2006, notes that there are reports, including Pevsner's, that there had been a disused Norman basin at the time in this church. He found it and provides a photograph of it.
