There are three entries for Sixhills [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF1787/sixhills/] [accessed 7 May 2019], one of which reports a church in it. Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989) note: "Font. Probably of 1869. Chalice-shaped, with roundels depicting the life of Christ." [NB: the original church, "a neat plain structure" according to Lewis' Dictionary of 1848, was "rebuilt by James Fowler in 1869, as reported in Pevsner... (1989). The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF1702387122] notes: "Parish church. Late C13, 1869 and 1875 restoration and rebuilding by James Fowler of Louth [...] Circular C19 chalice shaped font, decorated with 4 roundels depicting scenes from the life of Christ." [NB: we have no information of the font of the original church here].
