No entry found for Orton Longville in the Domesday survey. Lewis' Dictionary of 1848 reports the discovery of a Norman font during the 1836 restoration of Holy Trinity's. The entry for this village in the National Gazetteer of 1868, transcribed by Colin Hinson in 2013 [https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/HUN/OrtonLongueville] [accessed 20 August 2022] notes: "The church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, is an ancient structure, with a square tower containing two bells. The interior of the church, which has been entirely restored, contains an effigy of a Knight Templar, a Norman font, and several monuments of great antiquity." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TL1682696516] notes: "Essentially a Decorated church, built from circa 1275 although the bases of the nave arcades are circa 1240 [...] C15 octagonal font with panelled bowl and stem."
