There are two entries for North Witham [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SK9221/north-witham/] [accessed 1 August 2021], one of which reports a church in it. Noted in Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989): "Font. Circular with pointed-trefoiled arches on shafts, all re-tooled." The entry for this church in British Listed Buildings [Listing NGR: SK9280921867] notes: "Parish church. Late Cll, C13, C14, C15, restored 1887 [...] In porch an Anglo Saxon cross shaft with interlace and a C12 muzzled bear's head built into wall. The south door is late Cll, tall, semi-circular headed, of 2 plain orders and hood with shallow cable moulded imposts. Over the door a bearded human head [...] late Cll chancel arch [...] C13 tub font with trefoil headed blank arcade, alternating trefoils and quatrefoils in the tympanum, an octagonal base."
