Lewis' Dictionary of 1848 reports "a finely-sculptured font" in this Perpendicular church. The octagonal basin has demi-figures of angels holding shields [now blank] alternating with sejant-gardant lions on the sides; the underbowl has angel heads at the angles, and floral motifs on the panels below; the lower base is much damaged, but there are seated lions at the angles alternating with small woodwoses on the panels, all of them raised on polygonal platforms. No plinth. Wooden cover; appears modern.
