Described in Orrin (1988): "The Norman font has a plain cylindrical bowl and is barrel-shaped. It has a lower plain circular roll-moulding and is set on an ugly overpowering base, circular at the junction with the bowl, then angled out at the corners to meet the heavy square step at the plinth."
